E-Mail this report to a friend

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi Friday visited the house of abducted Kannada film actor Dr Rajakumar and spoke to his family.

Official sources said Karunanidhi spent about 15 minutes with the family and spoke to Parvathamma, the actor's wife.

Karunanidhi assured Dr Rajakumar's family that the governments of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka would put in their best efforts to secure the release of Dr Rajakumar and three others, held in captivity by forest bandit Veerappan for over a month now.

The Tamil Nadu chief minister also assured them that Dr Rajakumar was hale and hearty and they need not have apprehensions about his health.
