Delhi HC stays order against Rao, Buta

The Delhi high court on Tuesday suspended the execution of sentence against former prime minister P V Narasimha Rao and former minister Buta Singh, and extended their bail.

When the petition filed by Rao and Buta Singh came up for hearing, Justice R S Sodhi stayed the earlier order passed by Additional Sessions Judge Ajit Bharihoke.

Narasimha Rao and Buta Singh were convicted in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha bribery case and sentenced to three years rigorous imprisonment on October 12.
