E-Mail this report to a friend

The Tamil Nadu government will release five Tamil extremists, as demanded by outlaw Veerappan to obtain the release of Kannada star Rajakumar and three others, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said in Madras on Friday night.

''We have asked these five to be released, but the actual release will be simultaneous with the end to the crisis,'' he told the media after long parleys with his Karnataka counterpart S M Krishna.
