E-Commerce Bootcamp

A P Kamath in Chicago

The Round Table Group at University of Chicago has organized a two-day symposium in October called 'E-Commerce Bootcamp'.

The camp is perhaps the first-ever executive education collaboration of premier e-business professors from multiple business schools, including Mohanbir Sawhney of Northwestern's Kellogg School, Erik Brynjolfsson of MIT's Sloan School, Hank Lucas of NYU's Stern School, Hal Varian of UC Berkeley, Margaret Jane Radin of Stanford Law School, and others.

The symposium is designed for executives and senior managers at established firms who have an immediate and urgent need to learn how to formulate and implement winning e-commerce strategies. The camp participants will learn the latest e-commerce tools, models, and paradigms that are currently emerging from premier business schools.

RTG provides customized executive education programs in marketing, finance, e-commerce, strategy, and leadership. The camp offers a window into the consulting and teaching traditions of the Round Table Group. Unlike conventional executive education programs, the Round Table Group's programs are fully customized, taught on-site, and led by professors who teach at many of the world's leading business schools.

Harry Davis, the former dean of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, is the executive director of round table group's corporate learning practice. Other corporate sponsors of this event include Baker & McKenzie, Egon Zehnder, and nMinds.com.

Participants can meet the RTG e-commerce faculty, hear them speak on key aspects of e-commerce business and law, and participate in hands-on workshops and panel discussions led by the experts.

The event will be held at the University of Chicago's Gleacher Center on October 27 and 28. The fee is $ 1,000 per day; participants can attend either or both sessions. There is space for 95 attendees and the camp enrollment will close quickly.

For information, contact the event co-ordinator, Christine Lee, at 312-214-4990.
