Mudgal Offers Another Concert

PITTSBURGH

Shubha Mudgal, one of the outstanding vocal musicians of India, will present a concert of Indian (Hindustani) classical music on October 28 at 7.30 pm at the Frick Fine Auditorium of the University of Pittsburgh. This is one of the many concerts Mudgal is offering across America.

She will be accompanied by Aneesh Pradhan on THE tabla and by Sudhir Nayak on the harmonium. The concert is co-sponsored by the Center for the Performing Arts of India of the University of Pittsburgh and Chatham College. Shubha Mudgal's concert tour of USA has been partially supported by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and by the University of Pittsburgh.

Kuchipudi Style Dance Drama

NAPERVILLE, Illinois

Shoba Natarajan and Vempati Ravishankar, disciples of Dr Vempati Chinna Satyam, are featured in 'Ananda Tandavam', a Kuchipudi style dance performance on November 14 at the Trinton College Performing Arts Center.

The event starts at 4 pm.

The Samskriti Foundation, which is organising the event, is committed to promoting classical Indian dance and music by organizing performances, workshops, summer camps and classes.

Donations, for a family of four is $ 40; seniors and children, $ 8; and others, $ 15.

The Center is located at 2000 Fifth Avenue, River Grove.
