E-Mail this report to a friend

A summit of South Asian heads of state, scheduled to be held from November 26 to 28, is likely to be postponed due to the military coup in Pakistan, a senior official has said.

''It may not be held as scheduled,'' a senior official of the Nepali foreign ministry, who did not wish to be named, told Reuters.

Nepal is scheduled to host the 11th summit conference of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, a regional grouping of seven South Asian countries.
