Mamta endorses army action

E-Mail this report to a friend

Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee has expressed support for the Indian army and air force action in Kargil to flush out Pakistan-supported intruders.

Addressing a gathering at Asansol last night, Banerjee cautioned against Inter Services Intelligence activities in West Bengal. ''ISI agents are freely staying and travelling in the state due to poor vigilance by the Left Front government'', she lamented.

She strongly criticised the ''bad policy'' of the Congress and Communist Party of India-Marxist who were ''responsible'' for the mid-term parliamentary elections.
