Night curfew in border areas of Jammu

Keeping in view the fighting in the Kargil sector, the administration today imposed night curfew in the border areas of Jammu district.

The district magistrate, Jammu, P K Tripathi has restricted the movement of a person or a group of persons between 2100 hours IST and 0500 hours IST in the border areas including all the areas west of Manawar Tawi from Chakla up to Narojian.

The order, issued under Section 144 CrPC, shall remain in force for two months from today. Relaxations would be allowed only under exceptional cases, Tripathi said.
