Indians troops recapture strategic Tololing Hill

E-Mail this report to a friend

Indian troops achieved another success today when they recaptured the strategic Tololing Hill in the Drass sector after a long and fierce gun battle with Pakistani invaders.

The army had launched a major offensive on Saturday evening to dislodge the intruders from Tololing.

As the troops were progressing, they came under heavy fire from the Pakistanis. But supported by artillery and mortar fire, the Indians succeeded in recapturing the strategic hilltop.

Both sides are believed to have suffered heavy casualties, but no details were immediately available.

The troops were now launching another offensive to recapture Marpola Heights in the same sector.
