The deadline for the withdrawal of the Pakistani intruders from the Kargil sector has been extended by a day.

The deadline was to expire this evening.

Army sources told Star News that it was not possible for the intruders to reach the Line of Control by Friday evening, hence the deadline had been extended. They added that this would facilitate a complete withdrawal of Pakistani soldiers and militants from the Kargil sector by Saturday.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is reported to have fired 30 shells in the Drass sector on Thursday.
