Pak conducted only one test on Thursday: experts

Indian seismological experts said today that Pakistan had conducted ''only one successful nuclear explosion on May 28 and not five as claimed by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief.

The experts said the announcement by the Pakistan Nuclear Energy Commission that two more nuclear tests conducted this afternoon measured five on the Richter scale with a total yield of 40 kilotons was ''subject to confirmation.''

The seismological experts said they had monitored the Pakistani underground tests today and data was being collected to ''ascertain their yield and success''.
