How net savvy are you, on a scale of 1 to 10?
I surf whenever I have the time - that is when I'm not shooting. I'm Net savvy. I'd rate myself a 6 on 10 because I know the basics, but there's a lot I don't know.

How much time do you spend online?
It depends. I am online somewhere between 30 minutes to two hours. You don't realise how time passes. I check my mail every two days, and surf for anything and everything.

What do you enjoy doing on the Net?
I enjoy keeping in touch with my friends all over the world. It's cheaper too, because you may call up and the person might not be there to take your call, whereas over here you know that this person sits on the Net at such-and-such time. The time difference does not matter. Your message will get across.

What is your idea of a perfect Web site?
It should be quick to load: some sites take 15 minutes. Also, I like sites that are colourful. It's stupid, but I still have a liking for such sites.

What are your favourite sites?
There are no favourite sites as such. It all depends on my mood. Out of the blue, I visit the weirdest site. I surf just about for anything. It could be fashion, physics or books. I have a lot of sites like Netrition, es.com in my favourites list. Netrition is about nutrition and Es.com is all about supplements and such like.

Do you go ego-surfing?
Not really. The only site that I checked out was of my debut film Mohabbatein. I took a look at the posters. I visit sites on Shilpa sometimes. I read anything and everything that hits the Net on Madonna. I'm an ardent fan. I like to be in the know of anything new about her.

Have you bought anything online?
I've never tried that out. I am very scared of giving out my credit card number. Anyway, I love shopping and enjoy experiencing the real thing.

What is your favourite Web-based gadget?
I stole a laptop from my dad and I lug it around with me. I just took it from him and asked him to get another one for himself. When you are traveling so much, you feel handicapped if you don't have a laptop. Its like, you return to the hotel at night and by the time to get down to surf the Net, the business centre of the hotel has already shut down. It's handy to keep a laptop with you.

What do you like the most about the Internet? What do you hate about it?
I love the fact that you can avail of any kind of information. It's all at your fingertips.
I hate junk mail. Also, somebody hacked my account and messed with it. I had to open a new account. That was bad. And it's also very irritating when you are waiting for a site to open and it shuts down.

Do you chat with strangers?
I had, a long time back. I got onto MSN messenger and Yahoo to chat with strangers, but found it boring. I'd much rather chat with a friend.

Is there something you are keen to do, but haven't done online?
No. I've never tried trading shares or any such thing online. I find it boring.

Any celebrity you would love chatting with?
I'd love to chat with Madonna. She is an amazing woman. But Madonna is not gonna sit and chat with me.

If the internet didn't exist, you would...
