After three days of strike, Bollywood's junior artistes and workers have agreed to report back to work from Saturday. The strike was called off after producers met the demands of the union workers on Friday evening.

"We are back to work from tomorrow," said Dinesh Chaturvedi, the general secretary, Federation of Western India Cine Employees. "We will sign the Memorandum of Understanding with producers tonight and then get back to work."

One of the major complaints that the workers voiced was that they were underpaid, and had to work for long hours. They also stated that the producers were hiring non-members of the union, as well as foreign extras and technicians, resulting in job losses for them.

The strike forced all film and television shoots, as workers refused to report to work.

Television producers were more worried because daily serials had to be shot, and there was no bank of serials. Now with the strike over, producers will have to work extra hours to compensate the loss of hours.
