John Abraham has been adjudged 2008's sexiest Asian in the world. In the poll conducted by a British Asian weekly, Eastern Eye, John emerged on top, defeating Hrithik Roshan [ Images ] and the Khans.

"John Abraham [ Images ] made up for a quiet year with a sensational look in Dostana [ Images ], with one of the greatest physiques ever seen on big screen. His body helped to make the film a hit with Asian women," said Hamant Verma, Editor, Eastern Eye.

Incidentally, John's girlfriend Bipasha Basu [ Images ] was voted as the Sexiest Asian Woman last year.

Hrithik Roshan came second, while Shah Rukh Khan [ Images ] came third. Ranbir Kapoor [ Images ], Saif Ali Khan [ Images ], Imran Khan [ Images ], Ali Zafar [ Images ] and Jay Sean [ Images ] also made it to the list.

Newcomers in the year's list were television anchor Rav Wilding, Harman Baweja [ Images ], Stephen Uppal, Upen Patel [ Images ] and boxer Amir Khan [ Images ].

The panel of judges included Brianna Ragel, editor of Asian Woman magazine, Che Kurrien, editor of GQ India [ Images ] and Farhad Dadybujor, the former editor of FHM India.
