It all started with Shiva.

In 1989, a then 27-year-old director broke through with a hyperviolent film -- young, angsty, rebellious. The former video store owner went on to become one of Bollywood's most influential directors of the nineties.

While Ram Gopal Varma went on to give us such genre-defining gems as Satya, Rangeela, Company and Bhoot, every step he took wasn't as impressive.

There is no questioning RGV as a master filmmaker. We kick off a weekly Rediff feature looking at top directors' weakest moments. And the first one on the list is RGV, because he had a film released last week.

So we ask YOU, dear reader, to pick the one Ram Gopal Varma film that has disappointed you the most.

Some names come immediately to mind -- Daud, Mast, Naach and the reworked Shiva are among the lesser liked movies, as is the recent Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag.

But take your time, run through the list below, and tell us which film you think is RGV's worst.

Shiva (1989) | Kshana Kshanam (1991) | Raat (1992) | Antam (1992) | Drohi (1992) | Gaayam (1993) | Govindha Govindha (1993) | Rangeela (1995) | Great Robbery (1996) | Deyyam (1996) | Anaganaga Oka Roju (1997) | Daud (1997) | Satya (1998) | Prema Katha (1999) | Kaun (1999) | Mast (1999) | Jungle (2000) | Company (2002) | Bhoot (2003) | Naach (2004) | Sarkar (2005) | Shiva (2006) | Darna Zaroori Hai (Story 2) (2006) | Nishabd (2007) | Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag (2007)
