What is it about women-oriented movies? Why do they -- more often than not, that is -- end up as box-office duds?
For example, one recent dud was Yash Raj's Laaga Chunari Main Daag, starring Rani Mukherji and Konkona Sen Sharma.
In the past too, woman-centric films have not fared well at the BO. Examples: Sherni, Sultana, Zakhmi Aurat and Umrao Jaan (starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan).
Though there are exceptions like Mother India, Damini, Mrityudand and Lajja, they are far and few.
And now with Madhuri Dixit's Aaja Nachle releasing this Friday, we thought it is the right time to ask you, dear reader, if Bollywood films always need a hero to do well?
