First Look: Yeleti's Okkadunnadu

Chandrasekhar Yeleti is back after a hiatus with Okkadunnadu. His films (Aithe, Anukokunda Oka Roju) are slightly offbeat, usually a take on real life incidents.

Okkadunnadu, starring Gopichand and model-turned-actor Neha Julka, again has such origins, interestingly revolving around a blood group rare to find in Mumbai.

Given Chandrasekhar's originality and ingenuity as far as themes and films go, this one too sounds promising. This time he chooses a mainstream hero T Gopichand as the protagonist, and introduces Mahesh Manjrekar and Neha Julka (who plays a Mumbai-based girl) to Telugu films. Incidentally, Mumbai actor Pavan Malhotra played a don-like character in Chandrasekhar's Aithe. The film was shot in Mumbai and Hyderabad. 

MM Keeravani scores the music, and director Krishnavamsi has shot two songs in Dubai.

Gopichand's last film Raraju received a tepid response at the box office. We'll know on March 1 whether he can hit back with Okkadunnadu.
