Aamir Khan's Rang De Basanti did not make the cut at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards (BAFTA) in the best foreign language film category, and lost out to Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth.
Khan, director Rakeysh Mehra and UTV's Ronnie Screwvala attended the awards ceremony in London on February 11.
Golden Globe winners Forest Whitaker and Dame Helen Mirren bagged the best actor and actress awards for their films The Last King of Scotland and The Queen respectively.
The Last King of Scotland also bagged the Best Film award.
