Most famous for his hits like Aashiqui and Sapne Saajan Ke in the early 1990s, Rahul Roy came over to our office on February 1 to chat with his fans on his Bigg Boss experiences and future plans.

For those who missed the informative chat, here is the transcript.

Rahul Roy says, Hi everybody, This is Rahul. Thank you for your blessings.

Brian asked, Congrats Rahul
Rahul Roy answers, Thanks Brian for the congratulations. Thanks for believing in me.

Mohitjain asked, Why are you wearing religious t-shirt on the day of eviction?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Mohit. I have immense faith in God and I would leave the decision of eviction to him every Friday. This was for any housemate. I just wanted to be reassured that whoever I nominated for eviction was karmically the right decision.

Chakori asked, 'Hi Rahul, I feel proud of you winning the title. Somewhere I relate myself with you. I know it as not your strategy but it's the way u live. Just wanted to know whenever you are at the peak of your emotions and if you want a friend or...simply love ...who do you turn to? Well I turn to God....I've been doing it for years...I want to know about you.'
Rahul Roy answers, Thanks Chakori. Like you, I too, always turn to God and my wife and Guruji. They have never let me down.

Vinayak asked, You said ek hafta ghar ke andar reh ke dekho, sab ke tothe uddh jaayenge. Which period was the hardest during those 3 months?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Vinayak. The toughest week was the one after Sarpanch, where nobody gave me a reason why they were distancing themselves from me, after I had always supported them in their time of need. But God was there for me and made me get out of that situation in 2 days.

Sidd asked, Hi Rahul...Sidd here...Congratulations for winning Bigg Boss title... did you try doing something extra... or you were you your natural self at the House?
Rahul Roy answers, Thanks Sidd. I did nothing extra. That's just the way I am. I have always been a recluse, but Bigg Boss was one place I could share with the country the person I am.

Shama asked, Hi Rahul, Just want to know are you really inclined towards spiritualism or was it part of your strategy, as I had watched Bigg Boss from the very first day and you said in your introduction that you have seen angrezi (English) version of this and you would follow some strategy to win the same. So, was this (spiritualism) your hidden strategy?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Shama, Although I had seen the angrezi version, I can assure you that if you do not understand spiritualism you cannot act nor play a strategy for 87 days consistently.

Nilesh asked, Hi Rahul, I liked your attitude towards life. I want to ask you how do you keep yourself stress free and calm in this fighting environment?
Rahul Roy answers, Hi Nilesh, I remember God and always ask him to guide me in stressful times. Because I ask him sincerely, he answers me through my conscience. We have to learn to listen to our conscience and not what we desire.

Rahul RoyCallingabhijeet asked, What do you feel for Ravi? You and Carol both said in the last episode that Ravi will win, but unfortunately he finished on 3rd position. Why do you think Ravi lost?
Rahul Roy answers, Hi Abhijeet, I felt that Ravi who is my friend should win because I thought he was very popular. I thought that maybe the country needed to hear a voice. Obviously, they preferred the consistency of my behaviour and the silent resolve of my approach towards people and life in general. You need to walk the line of what you preach. I have learnt that over the years.

Paddy asked, I have heard that you have received an offer from Balaji to Act in one of their prominent serials in the lead role.
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Paddy, I have received no such offers. I intend to choose my work very selectively and have not taken any calls as yet. I have been busy doing the media rounds and catching up with family.

Rosh asked, Hi Rahul, congrats. After getting out of the house, I'm sure you will have watched all the telecast episodes. So after seeing all that, have your opinion on any of the housemates changed drastically because a lot of your "friends" have had bitching sessions on you?
Rahul Roy answers, Hi Rosh. Thanks. I have always had tremendous amount of patience, compassion and forgiveness. I know that it was tough in the house and people may have said some things. They have all apologised for not understanding me and that was enough for me. I have spoken to all of them and would like to remain their elder brother.

Hmm asked, Are there any films lined up for you? Did Deepak Tijori signed you? Did Pooja Bhatt or any Bhatts congratulated you?
Rahul Roy answers, Hi. The people that you have mentioned have not signed me, but there are seven hundred films made yearly and not all of them by only these three. Kindly wait for the announcements and I hope that you would wish well for me.

Rajie asked, You were supposed to direct a film called Mera Joota Hai Japani with Sanjay Dutt as its hero. What happened to that film?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Rajie, that film, Sudhakar Bokade could not go ahead and produce therefore I had to let it go. I have plenty of other scripts and hopefully will make them.

Amitgarg25 asked, Do you want to join another reality show?
Rahul Roy answers, Yes Amit, I am open for reality shows. Lets see what happens.

Resham asked, What was you game in the house?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Resham. There was no game for me in the house. I had always said that this is a game that cannot be played. You just had to be yourself. I do not expect that people may understand me fully only the older generation who are well versed in our scriptures will understand.

Rahul RoyLeslie asked, Hi Rahul, I was always rooting for you. In fact, my wife predicted at the start that you will win because of your cool attitude. Your win proved that good people do come first.
Rahul Roy answers, Thanks, Leslie and your wife. Thank you again and I truly believe that good things happen to good people.

Bina asked,  Rahul, a big congrats to you. What are you doing in Australia and what are your future plans?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Bina. Thanks. My wife Rajlaxmi is in Sydney, Australia, studying there, so I go and spend 3 to 4 months with her. I intend to continue acting in good films and maybe direct also. Bigg Boss has brought me the platform I needed. I will not misuse the respect I have received.

Jindal asked, Hi Rahul, congrats. Want to ask you if you ultimately came to know that Kashmira came to the house only to create a rift, to divide you guys and to avenge her leaving?
Rahul Roy answers, Thanks Jindal. Yes, I did know what Kashmira was doing as she had told us. But what she eventually did was even better as she made us all aware of what other housemates had done to disrepute the ones in the house. This good deed was not planned. It just happened.

Sanjiv asked, Hello, Rahul! Lots of conspiracies were going around the house. How did you manage keep away from those things, as I have never seen you argue with any one? What was your policy to keep yourself calm? It does not look like that "Bhale hi ghar jal raha ho per hame show jitna hai, isiliye hume kisi conspiracies me nahi padna hai". What you say?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Sanjiv. I have always believed that your biggest enemy is your own mind. People may have conspired but I also knew that God would expose their thoughts. This is exactly what happened, and at the first opportunity that these people were nominated, you people booted them out. I knew I had the strength to pull the house back from any situation but everything needs to be done at the right time.

Queen asked, Rahul, what you think about Rakhi Sawant? Please don't give me any political correct answer. I expect the truth from your side regarding this matter.... About 90% of majority wants Rakhi to win but unfortunately she was evicted due to Mika. So, you tell me what do think if she would be in last three? Doe she deserves to win? If yes, then why? If no, then why? Thanks.
Rahul Roy answers, Hail Queen:) I think that the last three were the right ones. Rakhi does have a lot of issues, I can live with them but I do agree with you that on pure entertainment, she should never have won. I do not think that she lost only due to Mika. Her errors were all there for the country to see. Despite all these things I have always believed that good things can happen to anybody. She really isn't that bad.

Jwant to talk asked, Hi Rahul, I saw you were nervous on the day of surprise eviction day. Is that true? Also, it means that your claim that you are not there to win was false?
Rahul Roy answers, The day of the surprise eviction, I was not prepared to leave the house. I have always said, that whenever I start something I like to see that I complete it. And that I am there till the end, I never once thought of winning it. That decision I had always left to HIM.

Ajaybhan asked, Hi Rahul, it was great to see you as a winner of the show. However, I was disappointed to see you playing in the hands of Ravi. Kindly have a look at the entire episodes of this program and decide to take your stand on this issue. Deepak Tijori was a nice guy, and doing everything as per the morale and ethics. But, you still rejected his friendship. Why Rahul? Is that due to his honesty and raising the correct issue, irrespective of a person? Or due to fear that was it making you and Ravi more vulnerable for exit?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Ajay. Thanks. I do not think that you know the whole truth. Ravi is not perfect, but has the potential to improve. Deepak has been somebody who has known me a long time. Even he doesn't have the right to discuss my private life, which he has no clue of. Everybody's point of view of the truth is different. That doesn't mean that it is the actual truth.

Sssssssssshh asked, There was Amit, who was getting hyper day by day and missing his beloved girl friend...then there was Aryan who was busy with his lady love Anupama...there was Ravi Kissen who admittedly had some kind of chemistry with Carol...there was Rakhi who always had this picture of Abhishek with her.... Did all these things around not make you miss you beloved? Were you never attracted towards any female inside the four walls of Big Boss?
Rahul Roy answers, Hi, I did miss my wife, my brother and my family. But I am somebody who keeps it to himself. I do not need to scream from the rooftops to show the world that I care for my family. My family is the only people who know the truth. In the end, that's all that matters.

Mohan asked, What was in your mind during the show? Did you think you can win the show or that journey?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Mohan, I never thought that I would win but I wanted to complete this journey with the strength of my beliefs. Thank you.

Umesh asked, Hi, Rahul, congratulations for winning Bigg Boss show. I am a fan of yours for years. I have seen Ashiqui umpteen times. Why your career did not blossom is the question that still haunts me. One reason I think is you were ahead of your time. Your style is utterly foreigner and Indian audience was not that much mature in 90's. Comment.
Rahul Roy answers, Hi Umesh. Thanks. I unfortunately, could never understand why. I guess I was ahead of my times. But thankfully due to Bigg Boss, now hopefully I will be able to do the kind of films I have wanted to.

Gopalan asked, How could you remain so calm and composed when you were around so many contestants?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Gopalan. I used to always be in Dhyan. I would always ask Him to take care of my housemates and guide me to take care of the house. I have always been this calm no matter how strong the storm was. I have lived like this for very long. At the back of my mind all that mattered was that my family must be proud of me.

Suketu asked, You were a worthy winner of Bigg Boss. Why do you think others did not like Aryan and had him evicted? He is a class act.
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Suketu, Thank you. I too think that Aryan is a good guy. But when love is not accepted then people think that you are trying to play the romantic hero. He was sincere in his feelings but one cannot blame Anupama. She also had the right to take her time.

Thilakh asked, How is the relationship with your former housemates now?
Rahul Roy answers, Hello Tilakh. I have thankfully got a good rapport with the rest of the housemates. I try and keep in touch with them.

Resham asked, Are these shows real or planned?
Rahul Roy answers, Yes Resham, all the emotions, the confusion, insecurities ...they were all real. At no given point were we given any instructions to behave in a particular manner. The only time they said anything was when we had to do the weekly task.

Rahul Roy says, Hello Everybody, Sorry I couldn't answer all the questions. All I wanted to say was thank you for believing in me and I am proud that although we are very modern we still respect our old values. Bye. Take care.
