Farewell, Padmini

Legendary actress Padmini passed away early Monday morning, leaving behind a huge collection of great movies, memories and moments.

Padmini -- who was second of the three famous Travancore Sisters, along with Lalitha and Ragini -- acted in Tamil films like Thillana Moganambal, Vanjikkottai Vaaliban, Uttama Puthran, Rickshawkaaran and Theiva Peravi, sharing screen space with legends of her time like Sivaji Ganesan [ Images ] and M G Ramachandran. With the legendary Raj Kapoor [ Images ] she acted in Hindi films like Jis Des Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Aashiq [ Images ] and Mera Naam Joker.

A talented Bharata Natyam dancer, she had acted in over 250 movies in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.
