This year, the Cannes [ Images ] competition is interesting and eclectic. But no Indian films are in the fray.

The Jagmohan Mundhra film Provoked, starring Aishwarya and Nandita Das [ Images ], will be screened out of competition.

Other Indian stars at Cannes -- strictly on promotional trips for their movies -- include Karan Johar [ Images ], Preity Zinta [ Images ] and Ajay Devgan [ Images ].
