My favourite song (from the movie) is O saathi re. It's a romantic song with a lot of passion. This movie has a very different type of music and lyrics (by Vishal Bharadwaj and Gulzar, respectively).
We were actually in a village in Satara and we had acquired acres of land to build a set. It was made very comfortable for the artists. Kumarji (Mangat, the producer) made things easy for us. We would sit on the sets, relax, chat, eat, enjoy. And once in a while even give our shots (laughs)!
People will be stunned by the performances of each character. The audience will be shocked to know that we have such a talented director in India who can adapt Othello to the Indian taste.
This movie will make people cry.
