Mona Singh as JassiBy now, even the rare chap who does not watch the immensely popular television serial Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi knows the vivacious plain Jane is going to have a makeover. She will no longer be the girl in salwar kameez, braces, and the kind of glasses your grandmother wore.

By March 15, the forehead fringe will go, the spectacles will turn classy and Jassi's outfits will be haute.

Socialite Queenie Dhody is the person in charge of the makeover, and the people behind television's most famous transformation include hairstylist Riah, makeup artist Mehra Kolah, fashion designer Seema Khan. Sahaan Khan will do the secretary-turned-CEO's accessories.

Upcoming fashion designers Shane Peacock and Falguni are not part of Jassi's makeover team. But they have a clear picture of what they would like Jassi to look like.

"I would create a sexy woman of today, a woman who will fight each and every battle on her own. A very confident woman," says Falguni about the soft-spoken protagonist, played by Mona Singh.

Here is what they would do to Jassi.

Outfits: A glamorous look, but not too over-the-top. She should wear chiffons, strappy dresses and sexy little skirts, as skirts are in fashion now. She should wear short as well as long skirts. But I would avoid short skirts, as long ones would make her look gracious.

Accessories: Sleek jewellery, not junk jewellery. Maybe diamonds. But not too much jewellery because her garments would do most of the talking. I will give her hoop earrings.

Bags: Can be as trendy as possible. They could be anything from leather to floral printed bags. But not denim.

Shoes: I would like to see her in high heels. Maybe even matching strappy shoes so that her legs look delicate. Shoes play a very important part in your dressing.

Make-up: Her make-up could be skin colour -- she has good skin. The make-up could be subtle, but should have a glamorous side to it.

Now that she will get rid of her glasses, she could use pink gloss for her lips and have charcoal-looking eyes. She should emphasise her eyes because they have always looked very ugly with those glasses. Besides, you can play around a lot more with her eyes with make-up. Maybe also a sexy tan for her skin.

Hairstyle: Her hair could be straight and cut in layers. She could try highlighting and streaking her hair, so that it has some kind of texture rather than be flat. She could also tong her hair and make it look soft and sexy. She could have straight hair in the day, and a tong look [curly] at night.
