Gumnaam
tells the story of a stuntman and a struggling starlet, who meet on the sets of a movie and fall in love. What follows is a series of interesting and thrilling twists in their romance. Many movies have been built on similar plots.
But writer-turned-director Neeraj Pathak (he wrote the story of Subhash Ghai's Pardes) promises his film will be different. "Though the storyline sounds familiar, I can assure you that Gumnaam will be different from the run-of-the-mill Bollywood productions," he says. "This is the first time that Dino Morea and Mahima Choudhry will star together."
Mahima wears short hair for the film. "I have known Neeraj from the days of Pardes and am very comfortable working with him," she says. "Plus, Dino is extremely professional. It was a great experience working with them in Gumnaam."
The actress adds that she is very excited about the film. "Very few know that I was initially paired opposite Dino in Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi."
For Dino, apart from working with Mahima, this film has a major first. He plays a stuntman in real and reel life. "I have done most of the stunts in the movie myself. I must admit it was a great experience though I had to very careful and had to take a lot of precautions," he says.
This seems to be a brave step for Dino, who suffered a serious accident on the sets of the horror film, Sssshhh
