Love at first sight for Dino, Mahima

Gumnaam tells the story of a stuntman and a struggling starlet, who meet on the sets of a movie and fall in love. What follows is a series of interesting and thrilling twists in their romance.

Many movies have been built on similar plots.

But writer-turned-director Neeraj Pathak (he wrote the story of Subhash Ghai's Pardes) promises his film will be different. "Though the storyline sounds familiar, I can assure you that Gumnaam will be different from the run-of-the-mill Bollywood productions," he says. "This is the first time that Dino Morea and Mahima Choudhry will star together."

Dino Morea and Mahima Chaudhry in GumnaamMahima wears short hair for the film. "I have known Neeraj from the days of Pardes and am very comfortable working with him," she says. "Plus, Dino is extremely professional. It was a great experience working with them in Gumnaam."

The actress adds that she is very excited about the film. "Very few know that I was initially paired opposite Dino in Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi."

For Dino, apart from working with Mahima, this film has a major first. He plays a stuntman in real and reel life. "I have done most of the stunts in the movie myself. I must admit it was a great experience though I had to very careful and had to take a lot of precautions," he says.

This seems to be a brave step for Dino, who suffered a serious accident on the sets of the horror film, Sssshhh…

"The story and music are the strong points of the movie. I am certain the movie will do well," he adds. "When I entered the industry, I had to struggle a lot because of my non-Indian looks. But I am happy at whatever stage I've reached. Mind it, without any godfather!"

Gumnaam also stars the sultry Suman Ranganathan in a surprise role.

"The music is the USP of the film," Pathak continues. "Nadeem-Shravan have given their best for the movie and all the songs are melodious and hummable."

Gumnaam is scheduled for an April release.
