Anil Kapoor's 'best ever film'

Anil Kapoor is excited about My Wife's Murder. And that's Bollywood's understatement of the year. 

This was the first script Ram Gopal Varma [ Images ] ever wrote, but never dared to direct.

So the task is entrusted to one of his formidable proteges, Jijy Philips, as a debut film. An interesting cast fills the film, with Suchitra Krishnamoorthy, Boman Irani [ Images ] and Nandana Sen [ Images ] joining Kapoor in what he calls his best ever film.

The film is made extremely slickly (Kapoor insists on 'Hitchcockian') and looks startlingly great.

In a nutshell, the film is about a man with a suddenly dead wife. And how that death plunges his everyman life into utter turmoil.

My Wife's Murder is slated to release on August 5.
