Hrithik RoshanThe good news is that contrary to reports, Hrithik Roshan is not seriously hurt, nor has he been advised bedrest for a few weeks.

However, the star did hurt himself while doing an action sequence on the sets of his new film, Krrish, and was advised rest by doctors. He is well now, and will be leaving for the IIFA (Indian International Film Awards) awards.

"Hrithik suffered only a minor injury and recovered soon," said Ashok Vasodia, the star's secretary. "He is perfectly well and will be leaving for IIFA awards on Tuesday." But he will not play the celebrity cricket match, as he was scheduled to do earlier, in Amsterdam. However, he will remain the team's captain, opposite Shah Rukh Khan's team.

During the shoot of Rakesh Roshan's Krrish, at Film City on June 1, Hrithik was supposed to climb one of the ropes outside a tent-like structure. It was a circus scene.

Although Hrithik was not doing a trapeze act, he was to climb 25 feet, in the course of which he pulled his muscle in the right thigh. He managed to hold on to the rope and his harness and did not fall.

Since the muscle pull was bad, the action scene was postponed by two days until he recovered.

However, Hrithik did not take a break, as Hong-Kong based action choreaographer Tony Ching did not have enough dates to spare. Hrithik completed the shoot in two days.

"A true professional, Hrithik then came after two days and did the shot again," said Sham Kaushal, the film's action director. "He loves to do his own action shots. He did some amazing stunts in Lakshya, too, with me."
