After film critic Khalid Mohamed, another journalist takes the plunge into film direction.
Samar Khan, who was seen on television interviewing Hindi filmstars, will now find himself on the other side of the camera.
He turns director with Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye, starring Mahima Chaudhry, Arshad Warsi, Sandhya Mridul, and others. The film also sees a special appearance by Shah Rukh Khan in an eight-minute role.
A large chunk of the film has been shot in an airport, leading many to believe it may be a takeoff on Steven Spielberg's Tom Hanks starrer, The Terminal.
Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye is scheduled for an April release.
