Lois Maxwell, the original Miss Moneypenny of the Bond movies, has revealed that though she would like Roger Moore (right) as a husband, Sean Connery (left) would definitely be her first choice as a lover.
Maxwell played the secretary in 14 Bond films over a span of 23 years, working with several Bond men from Sean Connery to Roger Moore. She set the trend for the sizzling chemistry that existed between the secretary and the spy, which endured for decades.
'Who's sexiest? I would have preferred to marry Roger, but have Sean as my weekend lover,' The Mirror quoted her as saying.
Jack Black went ape during King Kong
As if a giant gorilla were not enough for Jack Black to go wild in King Kong, the actor admits he went ape during the filming, due to 'a lost weekend' where he binged on drink and drugs.
The 36-year-old, who otherwise claims to be very well behaved while working, has reportedly said that during one of the free weekends on the sets, he simply let loose with 'another member of the cast,' and together 'did some ecstasy.'
'I'm not one of those dudes who come drunk to the set,' the New York Daily News quoted him as saying. 'But there was a lost weekend where I had a little extra time off, and I did some Ecstasy, and I went on kind of a crazy rampage and started smoking,' he added.
Though Black hasn't disclosed the identity of his partner in crime, he says it was 'another member of the cast.' and that the two of them were 'just running around, dancing around, drinking and Ecstacizing, smoking like chimneys.'
Wayward bird brings Winfrey down to earth!
Talkshow queen Oprah Winfrey was brought down to earth by a bird, when her private jet was forced to return to the Santa Barbara, California airport on Monday, after it collided with it, cracking the aircraft's windshield.
After spending Christmas at her 42-acre seaside mansion in nearby Montecito, the TV titan and her longtime beau Stedman Graham boarded her Gulfstream jet to fly to the East Coast, but were forced to make an emergency landing.
'This is not an unusual thing. We see these things pretty frequently,' E!Online quoted Santa Barbara Fire Department spokesman John Ahlman, as saying.
Brosnan ditches tuxes for underwear and boots!
Pierce Brosnan fans used to seeing the former Bond dressed in smart tuxedos as part of his role of the suave secret agent, will now get to see him in a completely different look -- traipsing through a hotel lobby in nothing but underwear and boots.
The actor, who plays the role of an aging hitman named Julian Noble in his upcoming The Matador, said he had been happy when he received a role so different from the Bond legacy.
'I was looking and wondering when and how and what shape and form the character would come along. If I didn't have this [production] company of my own, I don't think someone else would have come and offered me this role.'
'He gets out of bed in a drunken stupor and wants to go for a swim and he's in his underwear. I wasn't trying to do anti-Bond. I was just trying to honour the piece that Richard Shepard had written,' Zap2it.com quoted him, as saying.
Besides walking around in his underwear, Brosnan fans will also see his character fainting into a pile of donkey waste and even wearing a female cheerleader's outfit!
