A still from ChocolateIt's jingle bells time in London. Seven intriguing Indians, however, have to cut their holiday short after they come under scrutiny from the London police.

The story of Vivek Agnihotri's directorial debut Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets is definitely not run-of-the-mill. Ditto for the casting. Featuring Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Irrfan, Emraan Hashmi, Arshad Warsi, Sushma Reddy and Miss India Universe 2004 Tanushree Dutta, Chocolate is slated for a September release.

Composed by Pritam -- of the chartbuster Dhoom fame -- the soundtrack features eight tracks and one theme.

Sonu Nigam's effervescent crooning elevates Halka halka sa yeh sama to the breezy and sufficiently zingy category. The soundtrack features an upbeat remixed version of the same as well.

Think you know Kajol?

His songs Bheege honth tere and Janab-e-ali may have been huge draws but Kunal Ganjawala's infectious enthusiasm, in the racy albeit bland Panaahon mein mohabbat ki does not rub off on the listener. The singer, accompanied by Suzan, gets lucky the second time round in the rocking Khalish.

Mangal Pandey's Mangalam voice Kailash Kher is spunk personified as Sunidhi Chauhan ably supports him in the high voltage ditty Jhuki jhuki. No novelty here. Drama? Plenty!

Fast-paced techno beats and rambling gyaan make up for the Chocolate theme. If the idea is to sound cool, the theme falls miserably flat.

A mix of hip-hop and pop, the rhythmic tunes of Bheega bheega are easy on the ears.

Sunidhi Chauhan puts on her best baby doll accent for the loony Mummy. The absurd lyrics of this Apache Indian-meet-Vengaboys style number aims to please the frontbenchers.

Lounge music is the flavour of the moment. So you have the throbbing Zahreeli raatein, sung intensely by K K, making its presence felt.

Chocolate is an assortment of mixed melodies -- sweet, regular, nutty and bitter. Want some?
