After hurting her neck in Berlin during filming for Aeon Flux, Oscar winner Charlize Theron, 29, has returned to recuperate in her home in Southern California.
The accident occurred on the sets of the science fiction film when Charlize was doing her own stunts. Although she did not have to be admitted to hospital, it wasn't known how serious the injury was.
People magazine, quoting Hollywood Reporter, says Charlize has hurt her neck. She will consult with her doctors in California.
The actor's publicist said Charlize was resting and would return to work shortly.
Shooting for Aeon Flux has been halted to help the actress recover.
To prepare for her title role as Aeon Flux -- a futuristic assassin -- Charlize lost weight, went through a rigorous exercise regime and dyed her hair black from her beautiful blonde.
The delay in shooting Aeon Flux could affect her next film, Class Action, which is due to begin filming early next year.
If Theron does not recover, there is a possibility she could miss the Toronto International Film Festival in September, where she was expected to make an appearance for the premiere of Head in the Clouds, co-starring boyfriend Stuart Townsend and Penelope Cruz.
