Vanity Fair, starring Reese Witherspoon, opened to mixed reviews this week, even as it competes at the ongoing Venice Film Festival for the Golden Lion awards.Now, Nair has been approached to direct the fifth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix.
The director, whose Salaam Bombay received an Oscar nomination, says she has read Steven Kloves' adaptation, but has not arrived at a decision yet.

quotes her, 'I read it over the weekend and I'm still deciding. I'm not letting all this go to my head. My son Zoharan is excited. I've seen all the Harry Potter movies with him.'Nair's last film Monsoon Wedding was a hit in India and abroad.
The first two Harry Potter films were directed by Chris Columbus (Nine Months, Mrs Doubtfire) and the latest one by Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón (Y Tu Mama Tambien). The fourth film, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire will be directed by Mike Newell (Four Weddings And A Funeral).
