What is it about women on top?

You thought heroines are used only as decorative dolls in films.

You would be right, sometimes. But once in a while comes a movie which revolves entirely around the woman.

Take Kajol's [ Images ] Dushman, Raveena Tandon's [ Images ] Daman and Satta or Tabu's [ Images ] Chandni Bar. But Bollywood is evolving. Now, we have women helming thrillers (Sushmita Sen [ Images ] in Samay: When Time Strikes) and comedies (Manisha Koirala [ Images ] and Sen in Paisa Vasool).

After a sensitive performance in Pinjar, Urmila Matondkar [ Images ] is expected to better her act in Ek Hasina Thi, which releases this week.
