After Farhan, it is Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani's daughter Zoya's turn to become filmmaker.
Initially, Zoya was keen on casting Madhuri Dixit for the title role of Nargis. Things, however, didn't work out between the two owing to creative disagreement, says b4utv.com.
Buzz is Preity Zinta, a close friend of the Akhtars, is being considered for the role. Aishwarya Rai and Karisma Kapoor are other contenders vying for the same.
If Preity bags this film, it will be a family debut hat-trick, since she featured in the directorial debut of Farhan Akhtar's Dil Chahta Hai and Honey Irani's Armaan.
Exposing Manisha!
Shashilal Nair is at it again! A couple of years ago, Nair evoked Manisha Koirala's wrath by shooting hot scenes without her consent with a body double for Ek Chhotisi Love Story.
Manisha took the matter to court and the film was pulled out of cinema halls.
Now, reports ndtv.com, Nair is planning to take revenge by making a film on Manisha. Tentatively titled Madam M, Nair told the website, 'I want to expose the actress. I know a lot about this industry and how it functions'.
The filmmaker is now on the lookout for an actress who fits the bill.
Jaya in Aruna Raje's next
The extremely selective Jaya Bachchan has consented to do Aruna Raje's next film, Samarpan, mentions a snippet in indiafm.com.
Last seen in Nikhil Advani's Kal Ho Naa Ho, Bachchan will play a key character in this film about street kids.
Meanwhile, Raje -- the director of Rihaee -- eagerly awaits the response to her soon to be released, Tum? starring Manisha Koirala, Rajat Kapur and Karan Nath.
Speaking of Tum? Alok Mathur, the publicist of the film, has lodged a complaint against Koirala's friend on behalf of its producer. PTI reports that the Nepali actress' friend abused the producer verbally following a photograph of Tum? which was published in a local Mumbai daily.
