Randhir Kapoor, Sunjay Kapur and Karisma KapoorIn a trousseau fit for a queen, Karisma Kapoor was attired in gold, silver, pastels, silk, chiffons, diamonds, sequins and intricate tapestries for her wedding.

Close friend Manish Malhotra was responsible for designing Karisma's glittering outfits.

Making bridal wear for Karisma is nothing new for Malhotra who has created stunning costumes for her on-screen bridal avatars in films like Raja Hindustani, Ek Rishta: The Bond of Love and Haan... Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya.

But for Karisma's off-screen bridal look, Malhotra decided to deck her in soft hues of gold and silver with diamond clustered into the embroidery. A report in a local newspaper revealed that Malhotra has also designed a diamond necklace for the actress encrusted with coloured stones.

In an interview with the NDTV 24X7 satellite news channel, Malhotra said that when Lolo put on her D-day wear, she exclaimed that she had never worn anything so heavy before in her entire life. Malhotra laughed and reminded her that she had never been married before, either.

According to another news channel Aaj Tak, sister Kareena Kapoor was in a green and gold ensemble. She is later expected to change into a pink and red creation.

Malhotra happens to be a favourite of Kareena as well. In fact, except in Subhash Ghai's Yaadein, Kareena has only sported Manish Malhotra creations. Mom Babita was also spotted in a traditional sari, according to Aaj Tak.

Sridevi and Kajol are some of the other brides for whom Malhotra has designed the trousseau.
