Subhash Ghai? What can I say about him? I remember after Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai released, I was doing a chat for rediff.com, when I got a call from him. He told me to come over to his house. I was absolutely ecstatic -- I couldn't continue the chat any longer. I met him the next morning.
He was very friendly. He has this knack of levelling with people of any age. He can associate with an 18-year-old. That is an outstanding characteristic. He has this quality of getting into your mind -- he understands the human mind very well.
He believes in keeping communication lines completely open. He has an amazing sense of humour -- there is never a dull moment on his sets. There is always fun. He has so many stories to tell on the sets. He's great with actors. He became our [co-star Kareena and Hrithik] friend during the shooting of Yaadein.

| He became my friend even though I was an inexperienced newcomer and he, a senior legendary director. He could tell what I was thinking. He knows the ways of the world and would tell me what I was doing wrong. He told me that the second phase of my career would be very good. That is exactly what happened.
He is somebody I have learnt from and respect a lot. I learnt a lot just being with him. I would love to work with him again just because our association was so great. He is a great filmmaker. I am looking forward to more of Subhash Ghai. I'd really like to see vintage Subhash Ghai.
