Raja Bhaiya is one of the many long-delayed Govinda releases like Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karenge, Yahoo, Ek Haseena Ek Deewana and Hum Do Hamara Ek. Ironically, it was shot in just 38 days. The film sees him sing as well. After the I want money number in Wah! Tera Kya Kehna, he sings Sunday manao in Raja Bhaiya. Govinda has also penned the lyrics for this track.

Priyanka Chopra was the original choice for the role that was eventually essayed by Aarti Chhabria (Awaara Pagal Deewana).
