The last time you saw her, she sported a trendy short haircut and turned in a hair-raising performance.

This time, you will see her as a traditional Punjabi kudi -- complete with long hair and dupatta -- whose happy, comfortable life suddenly takes a drastic downward turn.

Yes, we are talking about Urmila Matondkar. The actress gave a rivetting performance in Bhoot and is expected to do the same in her forthcoming release, Pinjar.

Directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Pinjar, a tale of a young woman set in the time of Partition, is scheduled to hit the screen on Diwali day, October 24.

The film, which is based on Amrita Pritam's novel, also stars Manoj Bajpai, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sanjay Suri, Sandali Sinha and Ishaa Koppikar.
