The event marked Ash’s first public appearance after the ill-fated accident in Nasik that took place on the sets of Rajkumar Santoshi’s Khakee (Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor).

Ash and her costar Kapoor were rehearsing a scene that required a jeep to move in their direction. The jeep however got too close for comfort.

With her left foot placed in a cast, the actress was confined to a wheelchair for most part of the evening.
