At a time when India-Pakistan peace efforts are in full swing, LoC-Kargil was in danger of getting slaughtered by the censor board for its reportedly heavy anti-Pakistan stand and strong abusive content.

LoC-Kargil did get a go-ahead sign from the Ministry of Defence and the censors.

Scheduled for a December 19 release, the film's opening date was shifted to December 25.
