Finance Minister P Chidambaram presented the Union Budget for 2004-05 in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. While he raised the I-T exemption limit to Rs 100,000, the FM said that the Budget would aim seven to eight per cent growth, focus on agriculture and fiscal consolidation.
