Duvvuri Subbarao the new Reserve Bank of India [ Get Quote ] governor said on Tuesday that the central bank will review GDP growth forecast for this fiscal during its October review of monetary policy.

Talking on inflation, Subbarao said, it is a combination of supply side and demand side factors.

"The monetary measures were intended to curtail demand; a slowdown in growth should not surprise us," he added.
