Are you looking forward to a H1-B visa?

Here's the latest on the H1-B visa programme. . . Two US lawmakers feel that the H-1B visa programme is being abused by foreign companies to displace qualified American workers.

Infosys, Wipro and Tata Consultancy Services are among nine Indian firms that have been asked to disclose details about their workforce.

According to Republican Senator Charles Grassley and Democratic Senator Richard Durbin, more companies are now using H-1B visas to displace qualified American workers.

Meanwhile, US-India Business Council has alerted Indian companies and sought a hike in H1-B visas. It has also called for creation of a new technology professional visa.

Do you think Indian companies are taking advantage of it? Or is America getting worked up unnecessarily?
