Should Murthy run for President?

Newsreports have speculated that N R Narayana Murthy, chief mentor, Infosys Technologies, would run for the Indian President's post.

And although Narayana Murthy has vehemently denied this, a group of software professionals in Bangalore even launched a Web site to garner support for Murthy's candidature. A good majority feel that he is an ideal candidate for the President's post, but many others disagree.

Murthy has dismissed the entire episode as mere speculation. Do you think Narayana Murthy would be the ideal candidate to be the President of India?
