Pakistan is likely to do better than India in capturing the global Educational Services Outsourcing market, which is estimated to grow by 90 per cent in the US alone in next ten years.

"Though, India has been the winner in IT outsourcing, both countries are on equal footing in Educational Services Outsourcing. In fact, Pakistan may have a slight edge in outsourcing to the US as the Urdu language phonetics more closely resemble the American accent," Glynn Willet, TutorsWithoutLimits said.

Both Pakistan and India have unique social and educational advantages such as extensive and advanced teaching and tutoring system, large English speaking population, understandable accent and large pool of untapped talent at lower cost, Willet told PTI.

Online tutoring, which is likely to grow by leaps and bounds because of its easy access and removal of problems like in-person tutoring, scheduling, transportation and affordability, has presently captured only six per cent of the entire tuitions market in the US.

"We predict the total US market size for private tutoring will reach $10 billion within 10 years with the advance of online tutoring," Willet said.

India accounted for six per cent of $2.2 billion tutoring market, he said, adding about $20-25 million of the total expenditure of around $132 million was earned by tutors in India, he said.

Giving an overview of ESO, Willet said education was the second largest market in the world and teaching "has just opened for outsourcing."
