Reliance Q1 net up at Rs 2,547 cr

Reliance Industries Ltd on Thursday posted a 10.25 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 2,547 crore (Rs 25.47 billion) for the quarter ended June 30, as compared to Rs 2,310 crore (Rs for the corresponding quarter in FY2005-06.

The total income (net of excise) increased to Rs 24,566 crore (Rs 245.66 billion) for the first quarter in 2006-07, up 36.64 per cent from Rs 17,978 crore (Rs 179.78 billion) during Q1 FY05-06, the leading petrochemical firm informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
