IndusInd Bank on Monday announced the launch of Indus Easy Savings Account, a no-frills account with an allowed balance of Re 1.
"We wish to cater to the needs of the poorer sections by lowering entry barriers and simplifying procedures," IndusInd Bank managing director Bhaskar Ghose said in a statement in Mumbai.
IndusInd Bank would also provide free Internet registration and training on Indus Net, its Internet banking o the customers under the no-frills account scheme. This is as a part of corporate social responsibility initiative of the bank, it added.
