Railways have decided to give 50 per cent concession to second class and sleeper class travellers who have lost their limbs in accident or due to any other causes, Rail Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav informed the Lok Sabha on Friday.
This will be provided for travelling to national institutes and for transplantation of artificial limbs like Jaipur foot Prasad said, adding that one attendant of the patient would also get the same concession.
He had last year provided 50 per cent concession in second-class fares to farmers and milk producers for traveling to national institutes for training and learning better agricultural practices and dairy farming.
