India's largest car maker Maruti Udyog Ltd on Monday introduced a new version of its hot-selling model Alto with enhanced interiors and exteriors.
The company, however, has not re-engineered the price of the improved Alto.
Currently, the standard Alto is priced at Rs 242,000, while LX and LXi variants are priced at Rs 278,000 and Rs 298,000 (ex-showroom) respectively, the company said in a statement.
Alto, which witnessed a growth of 108 per cent in the last fiscal, will now come with clear headlamps and new tail lamps coupled with a new front grille and bumper, the statement said.
Some of the improved interiors include a new AC control and different fabric. MUL also said it would introduce a new advertising campaign in print and electronic media for Alto.
