The meeting of the empowered Group of Ministers on Dabhol Power, scheduled for October 8 to discuss ways and means of reviving the troubled 2,184 MW power project in Maharashtra, has been postponed.
The reason for postponement of the meeting was not immediately known.
The GoM, headed by Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, had held its first meeting on October 1.
The group has been set up to look into the entire gamut of issues -- legal wrangles, negotiations with foreign lenders, technical aspects and what role the government can play to revive the plant.
