BIRTH OF A COMPANY: It was on May 4, 1904, when a historic meeting took place between motor enthusiast Charles Rolls and a reputed engineer Henry Royce at the Midland Hotel in Manchester, United Kingdom, which led to the formation of one of the world's most famous, greatest and best known brand: Rolls-Royce.
Henry Royce built his first motorcar in 1904, while Charles Rolls sold quality cars in London. An agreement was reached that Royce Limited would manufacture a range of cars to be exclusively sold by CS Rolls & Co.; they were to bear the name Rolls-Royce.
Since its inception, the Rolls-Royce name has become synonymous with integrity, reliability and innovation.
